The Salem Witch trials.It was just before dusk, the once milky blue sky dazed in vibrant hues one would only see in a summer's dream. I sat staring off into space, the forgotten but still dripping wet paintbrush splashed onto my dress. I looked down and cursed inwardly as the green on my skirt contorted before my eyes. The color going from a thistle green to a murky brwonish black. With another curse I placed the brush on the small wooden table at my side. By that point the sun was below the horizon and as I did everyday for as long as I can remember I watched with a heavy heart as the last warm rays dissapeared behind the mountians.
